
Practice Business Leader

The role of the Practice Manager involves overseeing the operational and administrative aspects of a medical practice. Key responsibilities include managing staff, budgeting, patient complaints resolution, recruitment, business strategy development, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the practice.
Key objectives include:
- Developing and maintaining human resource systems, including staff files and necessary documentation;
- Recruiting, inducting, and training new staff members;
- Supervising staff to ensure high performance and continuing professional development;
- Reviewing and improving practice systems for efficient service delivery and continuous improvement;
- Managing accounts, budgets, payroll, and financial targets;
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, including industrial and employment law, Medicare, OHS requirements, privacy obligations, and taxation responsibilities;
- Managing reception and appointment systems;
- Controlling stock, including practice equipment, stationery, and medical supplies;
- Organizing premises cleaning, maintenance, and security;
- Developing and reviewing employment contracts, job descriptions, and performance appraisals;
- Maintaining strict patient confidentiality;
- Actively recruiting doctors and Allied Health professionals;
- Actively managing social media accounts.

This position offers:
- Full-time or part-time work arrangements;
- A competitive hourly rate between $40.00 - $55.00 per hour;
- Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week;
- Medical practice management experience: 1 year preferred;
- Work Authorisation: Australia preferred;
- Ability to commute: Plympton, SA 5038 required;
- Ability to relocate: relocation to Plympton, SA 5038 required before starting work;
- Work Location: In-person.
Additional information about this role includes:
- Handling patient complaints and concerns in a professional manner;
- Providing support to the practice's leadership team; and
- Contributing to the practice's strategic planning and decision-making processes.
