Manufacturing Shift Coordinator

About the Role

This Manufacturing Shift Coordinator role is based on site at Carborough Downs, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate all planned maintenance activities and unplanned events to ensure shift safety and production targets are met.

Your key responsibilities include:

• E nsure that maintenance schedules are achieved in accordance with the weekly and daily plans and all statutory work is completed.
• Ensure that mine priorities are complied with.
• Provide feedback on the quality of planned work and leadership to the shift trades.
• Audit maintenance work to achieve the required standard.
• Drive a culture among the shift trades of identifying faults and correcting them before they become downtime.
• Drive a culture of identifying the root cause of downtime, particularly by completing 5 Whys for production disruption or unplanned downtime.
• Provide technical support to the shift trades.
• Manage and raise breakdown work orders, new corrective work orders, and communicate work to process coordinators.
• Reallocate labour and equipment as required to maximise safety and production on shift.
• React to and control breakdowns and provide technical support to the Shift trades.
• Escalate delays and initiate contingency work when necessary.
• Debrief all trades before they finish shift.
• Brief the oncoming shift on the state of the mine and progress of any ongoing tasks.
• Provide a comprehensive shift report of all manufacturing activities on shift.

About You

You will need:

• S ignificant previous experience working in Outbye, Development or Longwall operations.
• Demonstrated history of safe working practices.
• Commitment to achieving business goals and outcomes.
• High level reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to effectively plan and prioritise tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to work well within a team.
