Job Title: Liquidity Manager

Liquidity managers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial institutions. They are responsible for overseeing various aspects of liquidity management, including risk assessment, cash flow management, and investment strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain accurate financial models and forecasts
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders on liquidity positions and trends
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in liquidity management
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Advising on the development of broader non-financial and financial risk coverage within the organization
  • Supporting the Principal in the delivery of the risk and control plan for the Department
  • Overseeing continual improvement of junior members' technical knowledge and risk practices
  • Engaging with internal and external auditors during audits and ensuring audit findings are addressed by the organization

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, financial risk, internal or external audit within a major financial institution, custodian, superannuation fund, or insurance office (specific investment exposure is a plus)
  • Understanding of prudential or markets regulations related to risk management and investment governance with experience in first, second, or third line-of-defence risk management
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills, and high attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas to senior management
  • Professional engagement style in risk management
  • Self-starter; comfortable working in a small team and in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (Archer GRC) is an advantage
  • Exposure to BlackRock Aladdin and/or Calypso portfolio management systems preferable
  • B.Com, B.Fin, or equivalent gained in Australia or overseas; industry postgraduate qualifications are beneficial
