Associate Director, Treasury Job Description

This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain exposure to and an overview of the Group's balance sheet. The Treasury External Reporting team covers regulatory capital, liquidity, operational risk risk-weighted assets and interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB).

In this role, you will focus on reviewing liquidity reporting, particularly the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) and net stable funding ratio (NSFR). You will also be responsible for reviewing quarterly liquidity information in regulatory returns and other external disclosures.

The successful candidate will have experience with accounting principles and regulations, including APRA Prudential and Reporting Standards or Accounting Standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as proficiency in data interrogation and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review of quarterly liquidity information in regulatory returns and other external disclosures.
  • Deep dives between reporting periods into reported amounts, providing insights to uplift the reporting process.
  • Interpretation of liquidity reporting treatment in the event of change, such as new regulatory requirements or other changes like acquisitions or new product offerings.

Requirements:

  • Accounting background (CA or CPA qualification preferred).
  • Experience with financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data interrogation.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and communicate/escalate as necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills to develop relationships and influence stakeholders, train, direct, motivate and develop more junior members of the team.
