
Independent Living Specialist

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to support people with disabilities in living independently and participating in their community. In this role, you will provide access to social, recreational, civic, and vocational activities and ensure that people using the service access services and support that respect their goals, strengths, and needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live independently. As a Community Support Worker, you will work closely with individuals, families, caregivers, and key stakeholders to deliver person-centred care.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Passionate about supporting people with disabilities
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to person-centred care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records
- Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (preferred) or relevant experience
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence (minimum P2) and comprehensive car insurance
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencement)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (paid worker)
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete)
- Competitive Pay: Casual rates starting at $43.08 per hour
- Range of support hours available between 6a.m and 8p.m Monday to Sunday
- Opportunity for conversion to Part Time employment
