
Independent Living Support Specialist

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Community Support Workers to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life.
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide support and guidance to enable individuals to live independently, participate in social and recreational activities, and engage with their communities.
- Provide community access and support participation in social, recreational, civic and vocational activities.
- Engage with and support individuals using a person-centred approach, ensuring they have access to services and support that respect their goals, strengths and needs.
- Assist customers to develop skills, build capacity and actively participate in all aspects of life, including activities of daily living, personal and health care, household management and community engagement.
- Maintain accurate customer records to ensure individualised support.
- Build strong, professional relationships with customers, families, caregivers, and key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support is preferred, but relevant experience is also highly valued.
You will also need to hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence (minimum P2) and comprehensive car insurance, as well as a current First Aid Certificate.

- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Hold a Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (preferred) or relevant experience.
- Hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence (minimum P2) and comprehensive car insurance.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
- Pass an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (paid worker).
- Complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete).
