About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Student Midwife to join our team at the Department of Health, Tasmania.

This is a fixed term, part-time opportunity with a structured pathway into ongoing employment upon successful completion of the postgraduate program.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work as a Student Midwife in our department, providing high-quality care to women and their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Confirmation of enrollment in a midwifery course accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must have registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • You must confirm your enrollment in a midwifery course accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • You must hold current Working with Children Registration.
