Job Title: Clinician - Addiction Treatment Specialist

The Alcohol and Drug Services team provides information, advice, referral, intake, assessment, and support for residents struggling with substance use issues. We offer services for individuals, their family and friends, general practitioners, other health professionals, and business and community groups.

This role requires recent demonstrated experience in the provision of comprehensive assessments, ability to provide a range of psychological/counselling treatments and group work to adults. All team members are required to undertake professional development and supervision, participate in quality initiatives and contribute to the multidisciplinary team processes.

  • Provide comprehensive assessments for adults experiencing substance use issues
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans for adults experiencing substance use issues
  • Conduct group work programs for adults experiencing substance use issues
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress
  • Participate in quality initiatives and contribute to multidisciplinary team processes

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recent demonstrated experience in the provision of comprehensive assessments for adults experiencing substance use issues
  • Able to provide a range of psychological/counselling treatments and group work to adults
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
