Water Treatment Specialist Role Overview

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our water and wastewater services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable water supply to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor sewerage treatment plants, pump stations, and reticulation assets.
  • Ensure accurate operational records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in construction and repair of sewer reticulation assets.
  • Carry out water quality tests and maintain accurate records of results.
  • Participate in on-call rosters for emergency responses.
  • Assist with other tasks related to the water and wastewater section as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A strong understanding of water treatment processes and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
