About the Role

The Logistics Sustainment Officer supports the end-to-end supply chain processes for repairable items at a major logistics facility. This includes consultation with internal and external stakeholders, such as procurement teams, fleet managers, and industry partners providing warehousing and maintenance services.

This role involves supervision and leadership, coaching and training of a small team. The Logistics Sustainment Officer is required to conduct analysis and manage a large amount of data, utilizing spreadsheets and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the workflow of a small team, including monitoring work practices, setting priorities within the work area, and developing local procedures.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters.
  • Assist in the delivery of projects under the direction of higher classification levels.
  • Coach employees, identify training needs, provide quality assurance of work, and provide constructive feedback on performance.
  • Contribute new ideas and maximize the benefits of change, including the identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and innovative.
  • Experience in a similar role, in particular logistics, warehousing, and/or inventory.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize a changing workload and negotiate an outcome.
