Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Controlling to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for driving financial excellence, strategy, and innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and drive a wide range of financial analysis focused on business trends and evaluation of performance, projections, reports, and create transparency in presentations for senior management.
  2. Strategic Ambition Target Setting: Support and facilitate strategic ambition target setting, and play a critical role in the development of strategic initiatives and investment projects.
  3. Business Planning Process: Facilitate and lead the business planning process and drive the performance management cycle, including Rolling Forecast, Latest Estimate, target setting, and restatement.
  4. Reporting and Data Management: Prepare reports and submit data about financial and business results on a monthly basis and provide consolidated results and management statements.
  5. Leadership and Development: Lead the Controlling team by creating roadmaps, planning activities, setting objectives, and creating an environment for continuous development. Provide coaching and work closely with your immediate team to review and improve finance processes, policies, and procedures.
  6. Innovation and Risk-Taking: Challenge the status quo, take calculated risks to drive and develop innovation from within. Proactively monitor the external environment and translate relevant trends into the organization to ensure agility and value creation.

Requirements

  • BSc in a related field & Masters degree in Business, Finance or a related field desirable.
  • 3-5 years experience in a financial, consultancy, or auditing role within a multinational organization.
  • High level of competence in Controlling, Reporting, or Financial Advisory.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis & reporting software preferred (e.g. Tagetik, SAP Analytics, SQL, Tableau).
  • Effective communication skills, a strong business acumen together with pro-active behavior, and conceptual thinking.
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for people – actively seeking to develop team members.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
