About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scholarships Specialist to join our team at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). As a key member of our Student Administration team, you will play a critical role in the assessment and administration of centrally administered scholarships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and administer centrally administered scholarships, including assessments, offers, payments, and student support.
  • Develop and maintain scholarship policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with university regulations and external requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless scholarship administration and student support.
  • Stay up-to-date with scholarship policies, procedures, and systems, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
Requirements
  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in a relevant area, such as education, business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of scholarship policies, procedures, and systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • High-level organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Administrative skills, including attention to detail, accurate record keeping, and computer literacy.
