About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scholarships Specialist to join our Central Scholarships team in Student Administration, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and administration of centrally administered scholarships, including assessments, offers, payments, and student support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and administer scholarships, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless scholarship processes and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, utilizing data to inform scholarship strategies and improve student outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with scholarship policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring knowledge and expertise in this area.
What You'll Need
  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in a relevant area, in conjunction with subsequent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of scholarship policies, procedures, and systems, or the capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • Evidence of high-level organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills, including high attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and computer literacy.
