Job Opportunity: Director - Payroll Data Analytics

  We are seeking a Payroll Data Analytics Leader to join our organization. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills in payroll data analytics.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage deep expertise in payroll data analytics to lead the technical review of payroll remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Oversee remediation projects, including Award/EBAs reviews, leave accruals, progression, superannuation guarantee remediation and enforceable undertakings, to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Lead specific FBT focused engagements by building various data models to determine the applicable FBT amounts, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with regulatory bodies such as the Australian Taxation Office and Fair Work Ombudsman, fostering collaborative partnerships and ensuring organizational compliance.
  • Guide the team in coding, particularly in Alteryx, SQL, R, RPA and data visualization tools for FBT functions, promoting continuous learning and skill development.

  Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience in payroll data analytics, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects and achieving business objectives.
  • Proven experience with leading large, data-heavy engagements, driving results-oriented teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong technical skills in Alteryx, SQL, R, RPA tools, and data visualization, with expertise in leveraging these tools to drive business insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership within a Big Four accounting firm or equivalent, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent client communication and business development skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
