The primary purpose of a Management Accountant is to provide strategic financial analysis and advice to support the organisation's sustainability.

Financial Reporting & Analysis Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Financial Reporting and Analysis team in Melbourne or Brisbane. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting directorates and boards by preparing and analysing financial data to deliver meaningful insights.

  • Support the finance business partner in preparing monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and executive commentary for allocated directorates.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of financial dashboards and reporting tools, and assist with preparing scheduled reports for stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across directorates and cost centres.
  • Perform month-end processing tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as required.

You will drive process improvement, standardisation, and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the team. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will bring initiative and strategic thinking to strengthen financial reporting and contribute to the broader success of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse financial data to deliver meaningful insights to support business decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
