About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Speech Pathologist and Educator to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. As a member of our Speech Pathology department, you will provide high-quality clinical teaching and speech pathology services for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

The successful candidate will have expertise in speech pathology assessment and intervention, as well as experience in clinical education. You will work closely with our clinical education lead to develop and deliver clinical education programs and provide support to speech pathology staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients in accordance with current knowledge of clinical policies and professional standards of practice
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of clinical education programs
  • Ensure that speech pathology services are evidence-based and aligned with best practice
  • Provide information and counseling to patients, carers, and other staff regarding communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), or Bachelor of Speech Pathology, or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and knowledge of Speech Pathology Australia position papers/code of ethics
  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), or willingness to obtain
