Join Our Team as a Recycling Centre Attendant

Our Reverse Vending Machines enable the collection of empty drink containers to ensure that containers have the best chance of being turned back into containers again – time after time. In QLD and WA, we partner with Containers for Change to provide convenient options for customers to recycle their beverage containers in the hopes of encouraging them to join the Clean Loop Recycling revolution.

As a Recycling Centre Attendant at TOMRA, you will be working amongst a team of people who are passionate about doing good for the environment and our community. You will play an important role in ensuring that customers return to our recycling centres time and time again by providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the recycling centre is clean and tidy, and ensuring our machines and sorting equipment are running as intended.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to ensure customers have a great experience
  • Ensuring the recycling centre is well presented by maintaining a safe, clean, efficient and professional environment for team members and customers
  • Carrying out regular cleaning and maintenance of our reverse vending machines and sorting equipment
  • Ensuring the sorting equipment is running efficiently by removing and replacing collection bins as they fill up
  • Monitoring the recycling centre for any hazards and reporting concerns as they arise
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by management

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A passion for recycling and the environment
  • A keen eye for detail and a motivation to maintain a clean work environment
  • Being a safety champion, everyone deserves to return home safely
  • Experience in face-to-face customer service
  • Being physically fit, some manual lifting will be required
