Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Lactation Care

This clinical nurse specialist role focuses on providing high-quality lactation consultancy and care to patients, families, and staff within a hospital setting.

  • Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert-level lactation consultancy and care, including the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and applying research to practice.
  • They will also be involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating lactation education sessions for patients and staff.
  • Additionally, they will have a sound knowledge of research methodology and continuous quality improvement, and their application within the clinical setting.

Key Requirements:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Accreditation with the International Board of Lactation Consultants.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
