You will lead staff development within the perioperative team, using innovative teaching strategies and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities Promote and uphold the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Launceston Identify learning needs and objectives for individuals and groups Design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs in collaboration with the Education Manager Deliver adult-learning-based clinical education and reflective practice Provide mentorship and support for new staff members Develop learning packages and competencies for perioperative units Collaborate with clinicians, company representatives, and healthcare professionals to enhance educational programs Support organisational change and review of relevant policies Incorporate current research and evidence-based practices into education Assist with mandatory training activities Foster clear, effective communication across all levels of the organisation What You Bring Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Strong verbal and written communication skills Postgraduate qualifications in education or relevant clinical area (highly desirable)Demonstrated ability to effectively teach, mentor, and support nursing staff Minimum 5 years of post-registration experience in a perioperative setting (Theatre, PACU, or Anaesthetics)Proven interpersonal and leadership skills For further information please contact Arun Thomas, NUM on arun.pulimoottilthomas@calvarycare.org.au Why work for Calvary?At Calvary, our staff matter.
