The Department of Health is seeking qualified Clinical Nurse Specialists for CYMHS Out of Home Care Team (530081d) in the North of Tasmania.

We are seeking Clinical Nurse Specialists with experience in complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, ideally within mental health or a relevant/related sector. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families.

Our Aim:

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing We are seeking passionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. The positions available are within our new teams, currently being developed under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment.

The role will include:

• Being part of a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers.
• Undertaking clinical services through complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including developing and implementing specialised treatment programs.
• Collaborating with team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
• Leading and working with a diverse group of clinicians as part of the multidisciplinary team, including providing support and consultation to team members as required.
• Applicants with training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, Family Therapy, or ACT will be highly regarded.

Three positions are available in the North.

• Based in Launceston CBD.
• The North of Tasmania offers natural beauty, waterfalls, bush walks, beaches, and mountain biking tracks.

An attractive relocation package and support for international visa requirements may be available for successful applicants.

Details of Appointment:

• Three permanent full-time day positions, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
• The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum plus 12% superannuation.

Additional allowances may include:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification.

Salary Packaging: Benefits including living expenses up to $9,010, $2,650 in meal entertainment, and other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility requirements include registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, relevant postgraduate qualifications, current Working with Children Registration, and a valid driver's license.
