Residential Child and Family Case Manager

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Case Manager to join our Out of Home Care division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing case management support to children and young people with high and complex needs.
This position is situated within our Southern residential care program and reports to the Residential Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, community services, or equivalent, and sound professional knowledge and theory base relating to trauma, attachment, and integrated trauma-informed practice.
Responsibilities include supervision of caregivers, caregiver assessment, contributing to overall service development, and commitment to best practice in Occupational Health and Safety.
The role requires a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
The successful candidate will also have experience in child welfare practice and an understanding of meeting children's developmental needs, as well as a knowledge of child-safe principles and standards.
Key skills required include professional casework skills, including knowledge of LAC and CRISSP/CRIS, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with others and exercise influence in a diversity of contexts.
