Job Title: Network Support Engineer

Job Summary:

The Network Support Engineer is a critical role within our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer information network systems. This includes overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, as well as diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular updates to customers and partners on support requests and queries, ensuring service request updates and resolution timeframes align with service level agreements.
  • Plan and conduct technical tasks associated with implementing and maintaining internal enterprise-shared virtualization infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain the systems that comprise the underlying cloud platform.
  • Maintain records of trouble tickets, daily communication, problems, and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Provide onsite technical support for issues raised via Helpdesk, phone, email, and direct.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and fix issues related to hardware.
  • Work with senior members of the support team and product development teams when product issues are identified.
  • Perform proactive maintenance of in-scope hardware.
  • Troubleshoot wide area networks, servers, and routers, local area networks, and switches.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on networks and servers.
  • Work on and send out monthly health reports to clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience in infrastructure support.
  • Sound experience in network monitoring, support, and administration experience, preferably from any NOC/Data Center.
  • Sound knowledge of ITIL Service Management and Helpdesk Experience in Networking, Support, and troubleshooting.
  • Certifications: MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, Virtualization is preferred.
  • Candidates with full working rights in Australia will be considered.
  • This job requires the candidate to be on-site 5 days a week.
