About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist - Network to join our team in Brisbane, QLD. This permanent onsite position offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading construction and infrastructure company, driving innovation and excellence in IT networking and security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level network support to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to design, provision, and upgrade network and security systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes in line with industry standards, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Perform upgrades and replacements of network and security systems, adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Test, implement, and monitor networking and security software/hardware to ensure optimal systems performance and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure the design, provisioning, upgrading, capacity planning, and performance testing of network systems infrastructure.
  • Write and peer-review technical design documents, providing clear and concise documentation for stakeholders.
  • Provide related documentation and handover for a 2nd line incident response capability for network infrastructure operational issues.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure roles, with a strong background in network administration and security.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or Microsoft certifications, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
  • Desirable experience in Cisco Wireless, DNAC, ISE, Firewalls, Forti Net, Velo Cloud Technologies, Azure hybrid networking, voice and video conference systems.
  • Experience in switching and routing in a large corporate environment, with a focus on network security and infrastructure.
  • Strong network administration skills, with a focus on customer service and business enablement.
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA), CCNP is highly considered.
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL v3 Framework.
