Community Leadership Role

The Tasmanian Community Fund is committed to investing in and strengthening communities across the State. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our objectives are met and public money is used effectively for the benefit of Tasmanians.

As a community leader, your primary responsibility will be to guide our strategic direction, assess grant applications, and engage with communities across Tasmania. You will work closely with other board members to review our performance and provide feedback for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Fund's strategic plan
  • Assess and approve grant applications that meet our objectives
  • Collaborate with other board members to achieve our goals
  • Engage with communities across Tasmania through site visits, presentations, and events
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve our performance

To succeed in this role, you will require strong governance and strategic planning skills, as well as an understanding of complex social, economic, and wellbeing needs of Tasmanian communities. You will also need experience in areas such as governance, social welfare, or business management.

Requirements:

  • Contemporary governance and strategic planning expertise
  • Understanding of community development principles and practices
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, community leadership, and project management
