Job Title: Director - Emergency Preparedness and Response

 

**Overview**:

We are seeking a strategic leader to drive the development and implementation of emergency preparedness initiatives across the Tasmanian health system.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide high-level strategic and policy advice to senior executives on matters relating to emergency preparedness and response, and the security of critical health service infrastructure and resources.
  • Lead the implementation of the Department of Health's emergency preparedness and response program, projects, and initiatives, including an Agency-wide emergency risk register and exercise management schedule.
  • Provide specialist strategic policy and planning advice on emergency preparedness and response issues to all areas of the health system with responsibility for or involvement in health service delivery or corporate support functions.

 

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong understanding of emergency management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to provide high-level strategic and policy advice to senior executives.
  • Experience in leading teams and implementing programs.
  • A deep understanding of the Tasmanian health system and its stakeholders.
