Experienced Rise Miner for Underground Operations

We are currently looking for a proficient Rise Miner to contribute to our West African operations on a 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off roster.

As a Rise Miner, your primary responsibilities will include executing conventional hand-held rising and occasional development tasks safely and efficiently. You will also be expected to undertake additional mining duties as assigned by the Underground Shift Supervisor.

Key qualifications and experience required:

  • Proven experience in rising operations.
  • Strong background in contract mining.
  • Ability to operate a rock-drill machine and air-leg for drilling development rises and related tasks as per design specifications.
  • Experience in scaling and installing ground control in accordance with site requirements.
  • Capability to charge and detonate drilled holes and manage misfires effectively.
  • Basic skills in Timberman work and Ladderway installation.
  • Responsible for the safe handling and transportation of explosives to the work area.
  • Solid understanding of mining plans, ground conditions, and proficient operation of an Airleg machine.
