Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Rise Miner to join our team in West Africa on a 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off roster. As a Rise Miner, you will be responsible for carrying out conventional hand-held rising and occasional development in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rising operations using a rock-drill machine and air-leg.
  • Drill development rises and associated tasks according to design.
  • Scale and install ground control according to site and area requirements.
  • Charge and fire holes that have been drilled and deal with misfires.
  • Perform basic Timberman work and Ladderway installation.
  • Handle and transport explosives to the working area.
  • Understand mining plans and ground conditions and operate an Airleg machine efficiently.
Requirements
  • Must have rising operations experience.
  • Strong contract mining experience.
  • Good understanding of mining plans and ground conditions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proactive attitude to safety and a driven work ethic.
