Database Programmer Job Description

As a Database Programmer, you will be responsible for supporting, managing and maintaining database workloads for various client projects. Your primary goal will be to ensure that database environments are secure, performant and well-documented.

You will play a key role in maintaining database integrity, optimizing performance and supporting disaster recovery strategies. You will also contribute to schema design and query optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Install, configure and upgrade PostgreSQL database systems
  • Monitor performance and implement tuning strategies using tools like EXPLAIN and ANALYZE
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including backups, indexing and archiving
  • Develop and implement recovery plans and disaster recovery strategies
