The Quality Assurance, Systems and Process team seeks a highly skilled Operational Excellence Specialist to develop and maintain operational process documents ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the national regulator of Australian Government aged care services. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with internal stakeholders fostering collaboration, promoting teamwork, advancing initiatives, and supporting cross-functional coordination.

  • Develop, review, and continuously improve operational process documents ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development and review of Commission-wide policies and resources providing high-quality input incorporating operational insights, legislative understanding, and stakeholder perspectives.
  • Maintain various registers (e.g., legal advice register, policy document register), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with record-keeping and governance standards.
  • Develop subject matter expertise and interpret relevant legislation providing analysis, insights, and guidance on their implications for operations, and contribute to the development of processes that support compliance and mitigate risk.

As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will have the opportunity to identify opportunities for innovative ways of working evaluating, and implementing improvements that enhance operational efficiency, clarity, and quality of work. You will also participate in performance and development framework activities engaging with relevant policies, identifying and pursuing professional development opportunities, and supporting peers in their growth and capability uplift.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders fostering collaboration, promoting teamwork, advancing initiatives, and supporting cross-functional coordination. You will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide recommendations for improvement.

Benefits:

  • Salary: $96,503 - $108,869 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • 15.4% superannuation paid.

Other Information:

  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Roles offered on an Ongoing/Non-Ongoing basis, with Non-Ongoing roles offered for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of one extension up to an additional 12 months.
