We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering exceptional dishes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Executive Chef to manage guest service effectiveness, team performance and development, and service improvements.
- Oversee multiple stations by supervising and leading by example.
- Train and coach junior chefs, guiding them to perform kitchen operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards by conducting daily monitoring and walkthroughs of the back of house.
- Review stock levels daily and ensure timely orders are placed and stock received.
- Solid experience as a Junior Sous/Sous Chef and relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
- Experience working in high-end culinary operations with wood-fire cooking.
- Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
