Equipment Maintenance Role in Sandy Point

Synaco Global Recruitment is actively seeking skilled Maintenance Fitters to bolster our esteemed client's workforce in the region.

This role promises continuity owing to a steady stream of work opportunities. You'll have an immediate start in a high-performing team, contributing significantly to their ongoing success.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on quarry machinery, such as crushers, mobile earthmoving equipment, and vehicles.
  • Work with the maintenance team to prioritize and plan repair and maintenance work.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
  • Contribute to the training and development of maintenance staff to enhance equipment reliability and resolve recurring issues on site.
  • Fabricate and weld new and replacement parts.
  • Perform gas cutting, gas welding, arc welding, and MIG welding.
  • Maintain adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • A valid trade certificate as a fitter, diesel mechanic, boilermaker, or a related field.
  • Experience with the maintenance and repair of crushing and screening equipment.
  • Proven skills in planning and executing preventative maintenance, including creating maintenance schedules.
  • Proficiency in fabrication and welding.
  • Strong troubleshooting and addressing breakdown repairs.
  • A commitment to safety and proactive approach to identifying hazards.

We estimate a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
