About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our team at Aurecon. As a key member of our People, Movement & Place Capability, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply Human Factors Integration within the engineering design process for rail systems, ensuring the development of structured and rigorous consideration of Human Factors issues and their mitigations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to apply Human Factors principles, methods, tools, and data to inform design development and contribute to the overall safety assurance argument.
  • Ensure that the design of the rail system reflects the task capabilities and requirements of all end users.
  • Work alongside state and national sector leads to ensure seamless Human Factors integration.
About You

We are looking for a seasoned Human Factors Specialist with a proven track record in applying Human Factors Integration within the rail industry. You will have a degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related field, and be eligible for or hold Chartership/Fellowship with the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia (or international equivalent).

You will be a driven individual with a passion for cultivating a project culture where teamwork and motivation thrive. You will have a keen commercial insight, with the ability to decipher intricate data patterns and transform complexity into actionable insights.
