Digital Collection Specialist

We are seeking a qualified professional to maintain and enhance digital research databases and other library collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance digital research databases and other library collections.
- Provide quality client services across the State.
- Support the strategic direction of the Parliamentary Library as a committed team member.
- Support the Director and Senior Librarians to provide client-focused information services.
- Assess, select, acquire, capture, manipulate and catalogue data to build and maintain digital databases.
- Gather and analyse library management statistics to inform and improve service delivery.
- Participate in continuing professional development to maintain relevant levels of knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in collection management, both physical and electronic.
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated negotiation and client engagement skills.
- A proactive team player who can also work independently, committed to professional growth.
- Strong project management abilities, adept at problem-solving and working under pressure.
- An understanding or willingness to learn about the workings of Parliament and government.
