Lead Ultrasound Specialist


Deliver high-quality medical imaging services with precision and purpose at a leading tertiary referral centre. As a senior lead in Maternal Fetal Medicine, you will be responsible for performing advanced ultrasound procedures to ensure diagnostic accuracy and maintain safety standards.


Key responsibilities include evaluating and auditing work quality, managing staff performance, and completing mandatory training programs. A strong focus on leadership skills is essential to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and drive positive change.


Candidates are expected to possess current AHPRA registration as a Radiographer, post-graduate experience in medical ultrasound, and accreditation as a Sonographer with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR). They must also demonstrate knowledge of clinical protocols, manuals, quality assurance, and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement activities.


National Safety Standards require candidates to meet specific criteria, including current AHPRA registration, post-graduate experience in medical ultrasound, and accreditation as a Sonographer.
