Key Freight Forwarding Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused individual to join our team as a Freight Forwarding Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in managing import and export airfreight processes, ensuring timely and compliant cargo handling.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Import Run Sheets and coordinate with drivers to arrange collection.
  • Update Tango System Milestones for POD and note any quality control expectations.
  • Clear Customs on Import Freight before delivery.
  • Locate Misplaced Cargo by tracing with terminals, customers' warehouses, and Schenker warehouse.
  • Attend Daily Operations Meetings and provide statistics on import and export shipments.
  • Follow Up on Customs-Held Shipments.
  • Negotiate Airline Rates to secure the best rates.
  • Arrange Airline Bookings according to customs service requirements.
  • Email Export Pre-Alert Documents to destination offices.
  • Coordinate Driver Lodge Exports daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Accurately Reserve Terminal and Airline Fees on each shipment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities. You will also need to possess knowledge of freight forwarding processes and procedures.
