About the Role

**Mission Australia** is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Service Design and Innovation Business Partner** to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in facilitating the design and development of service and practice approaches that drive growth and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Develop and Maintain Strategic Relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with service delivery leaders and staff to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • **Provide Expert Advice and Guidance**: Serve as a primary point of contact for service design and innovation-related inquiries, providing expert advice, guidance, tools, and resources to support the development of innovative services.
  • **Strategic Planning and Prioritization**: Collaborate with other Service Design and Innovation Business Partners, the National Manager Service Design & Innovation, and State/Housing leadership teams to strategize, plan, and prioritize a pipeline of service design and innovation work.
  • **Client Voice Roadmap Implementation**: Coordinate the implementation of Mission Australia's client voice roadmap to ensure the voice of our clients' lived experience is heard at all levels of the organization and used to shape the design of strategic projects and programs.
  • **National Flagship Service Models**: Design and drive the implementation of national Flagship Service Models in line with international best practice, research, and insights from internal evaluations, practitioner input, and lived experience.
  • **Financial Modeling and Sustainability**: Work with the finance team to support the development of financial models to ensure service models are financially viable and sustainable.
  • **Community Development Approaches**: Support the ongoing development and scaling of best practice community development approaches via embedding the National Strengthening Communities Framework with local services.
Requirements for Success
  • **Human-Centered Design Expertise**: Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for human-centered design approaches, including co-design and client-informed service design.
  • **Community Service Context**: Ability to implement human-centered design work in a community service context.
  • **Analytical and Communication Skills**: Proven ability to synthesize and analyze complex information from a range of sources and subject matter experts, and strong written communication skills to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • **Relationship Building and Collaboration**: Proven ability to build strong and respectful relationships, collaborate effectively, and facilitate robust discussions.
