About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join our team at Schréder SA, a global leader in intelligent outdoor lighting. As an Industrial Designer, you will play a key role in designing innovative products from concept to detailed design stage, including consumer research, human factors, 3D development, and design presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovative Design: Create cutting-edge product and concept designs that meet the needs of our customers and the company's sustainability goals.
  • Client Consultation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet design requirements, ensuring that our products are tailored to the needs of our customers.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve design challenges effectively, working closely with the R&D team and other departments to find solutions.
  • Material Innovation: Explore and utilize innovative materials and processes to reduce waste and improve the sustainability of our products.
  • 3D CAD Expertise: Perform detailed 3D CAD modeling and detailing to bring designs to life.
  • Design Consistency: Oversee the design style of product families, ensuring consistency in aesthetics, installation, usability, and function.
  • Best Practices: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in industrial design engineering, including vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational performance.
  • Product Design Systems: Design, implement, and maintain product design systems to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Technical Input: Provide technical insights for component and material selection, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
  • Material Efficiency: Analyze and optimize material usage to reduce waste and improve the environmental impact of our products.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research, analyze competitor products, identify trends, and develop innovative solutions to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively engage with team members to achieve company KPIs and strategic objectives, working collaboratively to drive business success.
