Job Description

The Youth Outreach Recovery Support Worker is responsible for delivering psychosocial support to young people aged 16-25 who have been experiencing mental health symptoms for over six months. This role involves working collaboratively with participants, their families and friends, and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective recovery plans.

  • Engage participants in the program and establish professional working relationships.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face support visits to connect with participants and monitor progress.
  • Assist participants in identifying areas of need using assessment tools.
  • Encourage linkages into various activities to support goal achievement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in working with youth mental health issues.
  • A current valid driver's license and ability to undertake travel for the role.
  • A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Right to Work within Australia.
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check.
