Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Specialist to join our team at the Department of Education Northern Territory. As a key member of our Early Years and Primary team, you will play a critical role in leading, coordinating, and implementing systemic policy and strategy to improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of curriculum and pedagogy initiatives to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to teachers and school leaders on curriculum design, teaching and learning strategies, and assessment practices.
  • Develop and deliver professional learning programs to build the capacity of educators and support the implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address systemic barriers to student learning and develop solutions to improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of education policy and strategy to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
Requirements
  • Senior Teacher 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in curriculum design, teaching and learning, and assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
