Medical Specialist Opportunity

CC Medical is seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team in a General Medicine Consultant position at a regional hospital. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting inpatient and outpatient sessions, and participating in teaching and research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Specialist Care: Conduct regular inpatient ward rounds and outpatient sessions, incorporating teaching and providing specialist opinion to referring medical practitioners.
- Outreach Services: Participate in the provision of specialist outreach General Medicine services to regional hospitals and remote communities.
- Collaboration and Advice: Provide care and advice on the management of patients with General Medicine conditions to colleagues both within and outside the specialty.
- After-Hours Consultancy: Provide an after-hours consultancy service to colleagues and junior medical staff.
- Leadership and Supervision: Direct, coordinate, supervise, manage, and evaluate the work of subordinate medical staff in the provision of patient care.
- Eligibility: Eligible for general, limited, and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (MBA).
- Certification: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively in a cross-cultural work environment, as a team member.
- Indigenous Health: An interest in and a commitment to improving Indigenous health.
- Continuing Education: Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research, and quality assurance activities.
- Cultural Competence: An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
