About the Opportunity

Central Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Education and Support Officer - Domestic Violence to join our team in Tennant Creek, NT.

This role is focused on implementing clinical guidelines for culturally safe domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV) practice within Tennant Creek Hospital and reporting to the Education and Policy Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of NT Health Clinical Guidelines for culturally safe DFSV practice
  • Contribute to building capacity of DFSV and CSA interventions through training delivery
  • Work with the CAWLS Education Team to embed principles of the NT Government Risk Assessment and Management Framework into health practice
  • Contribute to the provision of a secondary consultation service
  • Support ongoing evaluation of NT Health Clinical Guidelines and the Local Link pilot program through data collection and compilation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant health discipline, social services, or law
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104 or TAE40110) or equivalent
  • Minimum of substantial experience operating within the DFSV sector
  • Postgraduate experience in providing contemporary advanced clinical services responding to domestic, family, and sexual violence with a comprehensive understanding of culturally safe practice
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Familiarity with and experience implementing the NT DFSV Risk Assessment and Management Framework
  • Experience delivering training to the health sector
  • Previous experience working in a specialist DFSV service
  • Understanding of the health service sector and the legal sector
  • Experience working with people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) / Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
