Environmental Compliance Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental management group, you will be responsible for ensuring our operations comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor and report on compliance activities to ensure timely completion in line with requirements.
  • Technical Studies: Coordinate technical studies required to support environmental approval applications.
  • Approval Preparation: Prepare environmental approval applications to ensure operational continuity of sites, including Part V Prescribed Premise Licences and Works Approvals.
  • Legislation Interpretation: Interpret legislation, government guidelines, and approvals to guide site operational teams in maintaining compliance.
  • Environmental Champion: Champion environmental approvals processes and support the implementation of our Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Data Analysis: Analyze, interpret, and report on results of environmental monitoring data and trends.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with key external stakeholders, including Government regulators, neighbouring landholders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Incident Investigations: Lead investigations into significant environmental incidents and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Team Contribution: Contribute to development and execution of team objectives, targets, and plans.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in external events and community-based activities to support our Community Investment Program.
