Contract Administrator
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex head contracts on major projects, including preparation and tracking of documentation.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage head contract on a major project, including preparation and tracking of documentation.
- Prepare and review payment claims and payment schedules to ensure compliance with the contract and security of payment legislation.
- Act as first point of contact with Superintendent and Principal's representatives, drafting prescribed notices under the contract and managing contractual compliance.
- Identify and escalate contractual and commercial risks to General Manager or General Counsel, providing recommendations and mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with project delivery teams to ensure contractual compliance and alignment with project objectives.
- Assist in development and implementation of project-specific contract administration processes.
- Maintain project contract registers, monitor key dates and milestones, and follow up on Superintendent determinations.
- Support subcontractor management: issuing subcontracts, monitoring deliverables, evaluating claims, and administering variations.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction, Business, Law, or related field (preferred).
- At least 2 years' experience in contract administration, project coordination, or related commercial role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, preparing, reviewing, and tracking payment claims and payment schedules.
- Excellent attention to detail when reviewing head contract terms and claims documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client-side representatives.
