Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

This senior leadership role involves managing a team of portfolio accountants, business partnering with JLL property managers to deliver timely and accurate property accounts to local and international clients.

You will lead and manage a team of 3-4 portfolio accountants, ensuring compliance with relevant trust accounting and property accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with JLL property manager as key finance business partner
  • Day-to-day management of a team of portfolio accountants
  • Ensure team complies with all relevant trust accounting and property accounting policies and procedures
  • Set and manage team annual performance goals and KPIs
  • Mentor, coach, and train team members
  • Lead and participate in monthly finance training sessions
  • Delve financial reports for a portfolio of assets/clients
  • Liaise with property managers for month-end reporting
  • Process and approve journal entries
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare IFRS rent smoothing and incentive amortizations journals
  • Perform annual tenant outgoing recovery reconciliations and liaise with outgoings auditors as required
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Reconcile GST reports
  • Raise monthly management fees
  • Process client remittances
  • Review all purchase orders > 3 months for validity
  • Liaise with client finance teams on all property accounting matters
  • Transition new properties into the portfolio and process cease management of properties at relevant times
  • Ensure JLL's internal compliance process and procedures are adhered to, including preparation of 6-monthly internal audit checklists
  • Liaise with clients in regard to information flow around annual audits
  • Act as a Level 1 MRI support for day-to-day functions of the CAS team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Property accounting experience
  • +4 years' experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • CPA qualified
  • Team management experience
  • MRP property accounting experience
