Role Overview

Bechtel is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join its Mining & Metals ERA Project team in Brisbane. This exciting opportunity will involve working with the client, Energy Resources of Australia (ERA), to support the rehabilitation of the Ranger uranium mine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and issuing contracts and services agreements, as well as coordinating bid requests, evaluating bids, and participating in negotiation of terms and conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant environmental and cultural heritage values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and issues contracts and services agreements
  • Prepares bidders' lists and pre-qualifies bidders
  • Formulates bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders
  • Coordinates bidders' questions and provides answers
  • Evaluates bids commercially
  • Participates in negotiation of terms and conditions
  • Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and Recommendation for Award
  • Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures
  • Prepares contract documents for execution
  • Maintains control and status reporting documents
  • Prepares and organizes assigned Contracts sponsored meetings

About the Project:

The Ranger rehabilitation project offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment. After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the project is entering its rehabilitation stage.

A collaborative project, this will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community.
