About This Role

  • Manage Customer Database: Accurately maintain customer information and forecasting for the territory, ensuring rigorous funnel management.
  • Understand Competition: Track market share, win/loss data, and competitive selling strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Craft Engaging Content: Work with Sales and Marketing teams to create compelling content for existing and new products, showcasing their value proposition.
  • Represent the Organization: Lead customer negotiations, purchasing agreements, and official occasions, providing Business Reviews that drive results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences: A degree in a related field is required, with a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Strategic Sales Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sales, with a proven track record of selling hardware into the life science industry.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and opinion leaders, driving business growth through trusted partnerships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving attitude, and solid business acumen to drive informed decision-making.
  • Presentation Skills: Present complex ideas to customers effectively, using compelling storytelling and visual aids to convey value.
  • Core Technology Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce.com or other CRM software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other essential tools for success.
  • Travel Requirements: Valid driver's license with regional/international travel required, with frequent overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Next-Level Management: Experience managing the NSW/ACT territory in Life Sciences, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • Technical Expertise: Previous exposure to flow cytometry, molecular biology, automated liquid handling, or other relevant technologies.
  • Key Account Management: Previous experience in key account management, technical selling, applications support, or marketing, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
