Marketing Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work primarily across pet brands (focusing on eDog) to develop and execute marketing strategies that align with business objectives and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement brand strategies aligned with business objectives, contributing to long-term growth plans across key markets.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Build understanding of category and consumer trends, translating these into actionable brand strategies.
  • Plan and manage the annual marketing calendar across owned, earned and paid channels.
  • Identify and execute strategies to expand category presence, capture untapped market segments, and drive overall category growth.
  • Develop competitive positioning to increase brand visibility and market dominance within the pet space.
  • Manage and grow social media presence across platforms by creating organic, engaging content and spotting trends.
  • Collaborate with the creative team and partner with influencers/brand ambassadors to produce compelling digital content.
  • Monitor, analyse, and communicate category and brand performance.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing.
  • A thorough understanding of digital marketing principles and metrics.
  • Knowledge of social platforms.
  • Ability to take initiative and learn new platforms/tools quickly.
  • Attention to detail, effective communication and strong copywriting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving team and autonomously when needed.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Clear ownership mindset and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Passion for the pet industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related discipline.
  • Experience creating content and comfortable with social media content creation.
  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, and Figma/Canva.
  • eCommerce experience.
