Cost Controller

This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Key Responsibilities- Recommend solutions or recovery plans to cost impact or delays
- Develop and analyze the Project Margin Analysis Report (PMAR)
- Coordinate the collation of data for the Monthly Project Status Report (PSR)
- Analyze variances in cost performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
- Coordinate estimate development with the Project Estimator
- Provide Status of Reserves and Contingencies
- Coordinate the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provide status reporting
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Possess practical experience in the use of the automated cost management systems
- Must have had leadership roles as a Control Team Lead (CTL) on a small-sized project or lead on a large project
- May need to travel internationally for project assignments and in support of business related matters
