About the Role
The Senior Cost Controller is a key member of the project management team at HITACHI RAIL STS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD, responsible for performing cost control functions and implementing and maintaining associated systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project monitoring, analysis, and change control are applied throughout the project using best practice techniques.
- Undertake cost risk analysis, prepare budget allocations, prepare cost forecasts, cash flow forecasts, and manage workload analysis.
- Analysis of data to establish the variances in initial estimates and final project costs, identify trends, risks, and mitigation.
- Participate in reviews of tender pricing schedules, contractor forecasts, payment claims, and variation claims; and make suitable recommendations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Worked in a cost-plus environment and can manage forecasting accordingly.
- Experience of planning and financial control in a complex project environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced MS Excel, SAP, and Primavera P6 skills.
- Knowledge of Rail/Transportation/Engineering sectors highly desirable.
- Having CPA/CA would be an added advantage.
