Role Overview

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As an Aerospace Software Development Engineer III, you will be part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, responsible for the design, development, and testing of engines and propulsion systems.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Design and develop automated test equipment software to support formal and informal verification of avionics requirements.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces for running verification tests on engine controllers.
• Establish and follow software development processes to ensure test equipment software is reliable, released, and configuration managed.
• Perform regression testing of test equipment software.
• Utilize measurement and data analysis to determine root causes for failures in avionics testing.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software development, integration, systems engineering, and/or testing experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting analog and digital hardware with bench measurement equipment and data acquisition equipment.
• Strong understanding of data acquisition principles.
• Hands-on experience with high-reliability mission-critical software development.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting test networks.
• Strong skills using Python, LabVIEW, C, C#, and C++.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and scripting.
• Experience with Git for software development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills regarding technical subjects.
